Michael Cox teaching a class about Mammoths

Michael regularly visits schools around the country. During his visits he reads from his books, tells jokes, draws pictures, does heart-breaking impressions of dying mammoths and generally inspires children to get carried away with their own writing and drawing (and invariably leaves his car in the headteacher's parking spot).

If you want to book Michael for a day's session or joint-book him with a neighbouring school for two half-day sessions, please email for details at chadpiranha@btinternet.com

WHAT THEY SAID

Dear Michael
Just a quick message to thank you for helping my son rediscover reading. He is at Middle Street School and after your work there he never seems to stop reading. I am trying to get through Agincourt but he keeps taking it back to read again, and again.

Dear Michael Cox
All of the children (and staff) talked about your workshops for several days. “I liked Michael Cox because he was funny and told us stories,” was the most common comment. Thank you once again for your hard work and for providing such enjoyable and inspirational workshops to motivate children’s reading.
A. Smith - Gunthorpe Church of England Primary School

Dear Michael Cox
To meet you at our school.
Was something really cool.
To see you do your acts.
Gave us lots of facts.
So I’m writing to say.
Thanks for a great day!
Matt Reynolds - Class 7 - Muskham School.

Dear Michael Cox
Thank you for coming to our school. We think you were hilarious. We were not board.
Jennifer Adams - Overton Primary School

Dear Michael
What a wonderful two days! The children really loved your talks and so did I. I hope you can be persuaded to return to Inverclyde next year.
Sandra Macdougall - Inverclyde Education Services

Dear Michael Cox
I really enjoyed your visit to prison all the inmates loved it, its better than forced labour. You are naturally funny, you have inspired me , now I might actually read something.
Yours sincerely
Redmond Paley - King Edward VI School Lichfield
